When I started SynapticFox.com, I didn't want to create just another website. I wanted to create a den—my own place on the internet where I could bring together the things that interest me, the things I create, and hopefully a community that grows around them.
A big part of that is anime and video editing. I want SynapticFox to become a home for my anime video edits, including the projects I'm working on now and the ones I'll create as I continue improving as an editor.
But I don't want the site to be only a collection of videos.
I also want it to be a place for conversation, ideas, and new content. The internet and the way people create are constantly changing, and I want SynapticFox to grow with that. Part of my goal is to create and experiment with content for a new generation of people discovering anime, editing, technology, and online creativity.
At the same time, I don't want to lose what made the older internet interesting—the feeling of finding someone's personal corner of the web and discovering something you wouldn't have found anywhere else.
That's where this blog comes in. I want to write about creativity, anime, technology, and the things I'm learning and experimenting with along the way.
Mental health will be part of the den too. I want a place where I can talk openly about mental health from my own perspective—what I've experienced, what I've learned, and how creativity and everyday life intersect with it.
SynapticFox is still being built, and in a way, that's part of what makes it interesting to me. The site doesn't have to start out finished. It can change as I change, my editing improves, and I discover new things I want to explore.
Over time, I hope the den fills up: more edits, more writing, more ideas, more conversations, and new kinds of content I haven't even thought of yet.
For now, this is the beginning.
